313 Lacrosse Code of Ethics

Introduction:
313 Lacrosse strives to create a positive, respectful, and sportsmanlike environment for all participants, including players, coaches, officials, and spectators. The Code of Ethics provides guidelines to ensure that all community members contribute to this goal.

  1. Sportsmanship:
Players must show respect and integrity towards opponents, officials, coaches, and teammates. Winning should be done with humility and losing with grace.

  2. Fair Play:
Adherence to the rules of the game is essential. Cheating, fouls, and any form of unsportsmanlike conduct are unacceptable.

  3. Respect for Officials:
Officials’ decisions must be respected by players, coaches, and parents alike. Any disputes should go through the appropriate channels, such as the coach or team captain.

  4. Zero Tolerance for Fighting:
Physical altercations will lead to immediate removal from the event and may result in permanent termination from the program after staff review.

  5. Conflict Resolution:
Players are encouraged to communicate and work as a team to resolve disputes. Coaches or team officials are available for support as needed.

  6. Inclusivity:
313 Lacrosse is dedicated to an inclusive environment. Discrimination, bullying, or harassment is strictly prohibited.

  7. Accountability:
Players are responsible for their actions on and off the field. Actions that reflect poorly on 313 Lacrosse may lead to disciplinary measures.

  8. Commitment to Improvement:
Players should strive to grow in skill, knowledge, and sportsmanship, as continuous development benefits both the individual and the team.

Conclusion:
By being part of 313 Lacrosse, all players commit to upholding this Code of Ethics. Violations may lead to consequences, including potential termination from the team.
